Dear Daddy...we got you your wish

Love, we got you your wish-your very own wooden bat and a scavenger hunt to find it!
It was super fun for the kids and I to find something for you that has brought lots of memories back and joys to be had.
Stepping back on the diamond to coach Owen has been a treat for you!  You obviously loved the sport at his age and still do.  We hope you have many opportunities to swing a bat this year for fun!
happy birthday at 39 :)
PS i think you have a mini you, don't you think?

Learning the trade

of capturing art, made by a sovereign and creative God...and it's all around us.

Kiddos, your Daddy has gotten really good behind a camera. He loves the warmth of the light, the way buildings and trees reflect in a puddle or river, the lines of a fence or the feelings of a moment. He can photograph a sunrise or sunset and cause me to Worship the creator. He is learning to tell the story either with homes or a town or our family. He's growing in the art of story telling. He is learning a new trade of capturing art and he's having oh so much fun! We are certainly proud of him and all his work!
*Thanks Will for capturing these!

What is daddy good at?

"Kids, what do you think Daddy is good at?  What could his next job be?"

1. He is funny
2. He could be in the circus and be a clown
3. Or he could ride on a stallion or a 10ft unicycle
4. The tight rope would be too hard for you to do. Your feet are chunky
5. Or he could be the govener
6. Or he could be a tee ball coach
7. He could sub for Mr Chad in his class when Mr Chad is out sick
8. He could work for papa here, by texting in the construction business
9. Or you could work for grandpa who builds homes
10. He could coach and play basketball.
11. He could coach like uncle Dorian
12. You could play football since you are fast and rough
13. You could work at Old Navy. Because you love to fashion people and fashion clothes
14. He could be shoe designer

Seasons of Change

What an exciting time! We wanted to share the news of our upcoming transition and the new role that Justin will be stepping into at the beginning of June. Below is the announcement:

Seasons of Change

For everything there is a season! During my time with  Mission Increase, I've had the distinct pleasure of serving some of the most generous men and women in the Triangle - namely you. My appreciation for the work being done by so many in the city to advance the Gospel, while meeting real and pressing needs, cannot be overstated. If I've learned one thing during my time at the foundation its this: what incredibly gifted, hardworking and committed people we have here.

A New Season

On June 1st, I will be transitioning away from Mission Increase Foundation to begin my work with a local home building company, American Homesmith. My role there will include new market research, product development and positioning, as well as supporting the companies philanthropic endeavors to care for military families. I am extremely excited about this new opportunity and the incredible team that I will be working alongside.

I'm certainly looking forward to staying involved in the work of Mission Increase, as a champion, serving and engaging in a variety of ways. I'm also looking forward to serving as a member of our local board and continuing to invest in that capacity. Not only will this allow me the chance to stay connected to the organization, but to continue working with my gifted colleagues Jim & Lindsey, and you.

Again, thank you! It's been a joy and honor to serve you and I hope by some measure of God's grace it has been the same for you.

Gratefully yours,
   Justin

Wet n Wild

I remember it.  My days of running in the sprinkler for hours on end.  Trying to beat the heat of the summer haze.  It was refreshing.  Many games were made up while my sister, brother and I played. Memories made.
Now I am thankful we can offer a simple sprinkler to our kiddos. :)  And 25 years later the same things happen...a refreshing feeling, games created and plenty of smiles.

Look at those long legs!  :)

Are we having fun yet?  Yes, and more YES!
 Mostly what Owen did...drink water!
 Dancing to his own beat

 Hi there pretty girl.
And while we played in the cool water, Daddy mowed, trimmed and blew off the yard.
This is his tired smile. I can't believe you are taking a photo of me looking this gross. :)
Thanks for all your HARD work to take care of the yard for us!  We love that we can play outside in the grass.

 :)
