Our Adventure to The Outer Banks

Whew...I have been behind in chronicling this adventure which happened in July.  It seems when I take a lot of photos I don't post because they overwhelm me.  I want to add them all!  So this time I am going to post a lot of them.  I like them all.  :)

We had the best time in Manteo NC.  It was simply fantastic.  We went to the beach everyday, shopped and toured around Kitty Hawk, Nags Head, Duck, Coralla and Manteo.  We explored the Wright Brothers Memorial and also ran up and down Jockey's Ridge.  We read and found bookstores, we talked at home and at coffee shops, we took naps, we laughed...we had a wonderful time.  I'm not sure why we haven't ever been to the Outer Banks, but rest assured kiddos we will go back!

These are Owen's beach friends.  They had a blast.  It's amazing kiddos that you all found friends  by the weeks end.  These boys were the owners of the big shovels and dump trucks. We basically had spots for three of our days next to a couple from PA, VA and then Raleigh. We are thankful you all are able to befriend others in such a short time!

Just a few posts ago Owen was happy in the woods.  Only a few days later he and some boys spent a long time just digging things up in the woods.  Simple pleasures.

Family night at Camp.

Well Pips, you had the time of your life.  I believe every night you came home sad that another day was over.  For sure you were exhausted each night, but always ready to go the next morning!  You loved every bit...puppets, snack shack, lunch in the dining hall, singing, swimming etc.  We were super glad you got to go.  New Life Camp is Awesome!

Last Night

One day ago, I decided to sell at the kids consignment sale and that makes the drop off tonight. Ahhhh! What was I thinking!! 

What fun I've had pinning pants and sorting sizes-did you hear the sarcasm.  :)  Now to pray that these things sell!! Off to finish and deliver to the sale. Thanks Kristen B for getting me going, encouraging me and setting me up with my tags!

New Life Camp!

Well, Katie it's your first say at camp.  I've got to be honest that for a moment I felt the tears...are you really old enough for camp, wow?!  But talk about excited, you are crazy excited... :) You're at camp from 9-5 each day this week.  You get the treat of seeing Annie Lou, Lydia and Bryce everyday, plus new friends!  I'm sure you'll have many stories for us at the dinner table each night! Have fun, Pippers!

Happy Birthday to me!

I had such a great time for my birthday yesterday!  We jumped at Defy Gravity-a trampoline park, I ate lunch with Robin-delicious, we had time at home, Justin and the kids created a yummy yummy dinner of steak tips, bacon/molasses green beans, roasted garlic grilled potatoes and blueberry pie(make sure you eat some of the steak tips from The Meat House-such a great treat!), I received lots of happy birthday wishes, talked with family, facetimed our new little niece-Qunicey we love you! and I went to bed full and thankful for what I have!  Truly blessed.  Truly blessed.

Oh and Owen, I loved the balloons you gave me!  And Katie, I love my new journal and 4 colorful pens. Just perfect. You both know just what I love!
