Maine...chapter 2

The ocean.
It was beautiful. It was unseasonably warm.  It was different then the NC coast.  It was relaxing. It was calm. It was fun. We loved it!

The kids could have stayed all day to dig and boggie board.  Aunt Julie could have stayed all day and napped.  Justin and I could have stayed all day and read under the umbrella.  Paxton could have stayed all day and dug holes in the sand...And I am sure others could have stayed as well for lots of other reasons.  But honestly we loved the simple simpleness of this beach.

This beach we were blessed to find!  This is York Harbor beach.  In York there are a variety of beaches, but this little gem was the best.  It is a little cove down the street from our house, mainly used by locals and the perfect place to read, catch crabs, dig in the sand and catch a little wave.
I can't write enough about how much we enjoyed it!

The 'Nubble' light house is also close by...and we stopped by one day to see it and explore the rocks.  The coast is a spectacular place!  I can see why there are so many lighthouses, the rocks are huge!

Celebrating 40 Years

For the next few posts I will tell our story of travels to Boston and residing in Maine for the past week.  It was an exceptionally good time.  It was filled with new adventures, delicious seacoast food, funny expressions, a large farm house, amazing scenery, card games, two of the best parents in the world, 12+ fans, open windows, screened doors, photographs and all the moments in-between.  We'd go back in a heartbeat.  It was that good. Thanks Mom and Dad for everything!

Happy 40th Anniversary Mom and Dad.  We LOVE you guys!
