A mothers/woman's JOY is necessary everyday...

I was needing a refresher on joy today so I read this article a friend told me about...

http://www.nogreaterjoy.org/articles/child-training/attitudes/article-display/
archive/1998/august/01/the-flavor-of-joy/

I found this encouraged me of the utmost importance of living joyfully everyday...check it out and EnJOY! :) :) And isn't it good to have life with Jesus?!

Vision, it is worth the time!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Everybody,
Justin got an IPOD for Christmas and I love it!! :) He has downloaded many great sermons for he and me to listen to throughout the days and it has been so encouraging.

I wanted to share one from Andy Stanley's Church in Atlanta called, "Discovering God's will, Part 4: Unfolding the Map"-February 19th, 08. He pastors North Point Community Church.
It is definately a worth while message to listen to. He speaks about having a long term vision for our children, marriages, households, jobs, finances, etc. Pretty much he encouraged me to write out a vision for these areas for 1, 3, 5, 5 10 years down the road. Then when faced with decisions about wether or not to go places, try new things, get involved with ministry opportunites etc, I can look at my vision and see if this opportunity lines up with what I want our family to be about. If our vision is planned out and is in line with what we think the Lord is calling us to for the long term, then our visions can be a wonderful place to check when faced with lifes many issues. I hope I have written this clearly! Obviously Pastor Andy does it much better!!
Check it out if you have time. Even if you don't have an IPOD, try to order it and then share with friends if you want! I really have enjoyed it. :)

Just a few more smiles from yesterday!

Here is Katie, she really is a cheery, smiley little girl! The one of she and me, you might be able to tell she was racing towards the camera as fast as she could! And today, I caught her climbing up the stairs trying to get away from me like a little puppy trying not to get caught. :) She is SO SO fast!

The pictures speak for themselves...katie is eating ANYTHING that she can get her little fingers on. :) She is like a little puppy, she puts things in her mouth and then carrys them around as she crawls!

Da Da!!!

Katie is talking like crazy and though she knows Da Da is Justin she also calls everything that she wants Da Da. :) But I took this picture as she was waiting for Justin to come in from the garage. She is so cute...when I tell her Daddy is home, she lights up and crawls as fast as she can towards the garage door. I think she is ready for her Daddy after a day with mommy. As you can tell she pulls up on anything that her little fingers can touch! She is growing up so fast!

You get what you pay for!

Please excuse my pasty, white, chicken legs...but notice the socks. So last year I recieved these warm fuzzy socks from one of my kids in my 5th grade class. I forgot about them until this morning, I put them on and do you notice anything funny about them?? Yep, they are different lenghts!! I got them as a gift so I am not complaining, I just find it really comical. I do think they are from wally world so there you have it...remember always check the lenghts of your socks before you by them! :)

Happy Birthday Uncle Tommy!

Dear Uncle Tommy,
My mommy said that it was your birthday so Happy Birthday to you! I wish I could be there to sing to you, but since I am not you'll have to wait until I see you again for me to sing. My vocals have really gotten strong in the past few weeks!! :) I also think that next time I see you I won't look so scared of you. Mommy said that you are tall and buff and I think that your muscles scared me at Christmas. But I'll take you in July at Lake Erie!!
Love you, Katie Grace

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, Nana and Aunt Jenny!

Dear Nana and Aunt Jenny,
Happy Birthday! I asked my mommy how old you both were and she said that it was a secret. :) So I am guessing that you are still in the months like me. :)
But I want you both to know that I love you and hope to see you really soon!! Come out and visit me soon!!!
Love, Katie Grace
PS My mommy said she was sorry that this post was belated, you know how she is...sometimes she forgets things! And I was thinking that -- she is older then you both since she said she was loosing her mind, and I know that you both aren't loosing your mind yet. :) hehe

Katie Loves to read!

Katie really does love to be read to before her naps, or during the day. But a few days ago I found her reading all by herself! I think she likes to read when she is more comfortable, aka in just her diaper! :) But it has been so warm here that wearing just her diaper is an option. Who would have guessed that February 18th, would have 65 degrees for high temps... It is so nice and a wonderful blessing to have the house open.

WE SOLD IT!

We finally sold our house, only by God's Grace and Patience! We put it on the market in late Sept/Oct and have had four contracts on it, but not until about 2 weeks ago did the Lord see everything through. :) We sold it For Sale By Owner on both ends and that is a HUGE blessing. Our relator friend, John, has been a tremendous blessing as he has looked everything over and given us a few pointers. But all in all the family that is moving into the house is sweet and I think it is a good fit for both families. :)
And truely we can say that since the Lord has put the desire to be more generous with our funds-money and talents, it has been a ton of fun to sell and see where he would allow us to go. Praise the Lord for His Goodness and Grace. May He be glorified in our decisions with the homes.
So goodbye Raleigh and hello Youngsville.
PS Katie helped us find our new house. :) She was very interested in the new construction cataloges and helped us with our new home. She has good taste, we think we'll keep her. :)

Here it is, our new country home!

Here is our new house! We bought a house in Youngsville, which is about 20 minutes North of Raleigh, or 10 minutes north of Wake Forest. It is a brand new house, three bedrooms, two baths, 3/4 of a acre and in a culd-de-sac. And on top of that since it is new, it is empty and we can move from one house to the other without any issues! We are thrilled about what the Lord has given us! We would love ANYONE and EVERYONE to come to NC and stay with us! Or at least come and we will cook you dinner if you already live close by! Isn't the Lord SO GOOD?

The park, Day one

We headed out to the park for some swinging and some fun! Katie had a great time and it was enjoyable to get some warm fresh air. :) It has been a treat to have 60's for day time highs. We are loving it! It was a zoo at the park as there were a set of twins, a set of triplets, three other kids and a dog!

The Park, Day 2

Yep, it was in the high 60's for the second day and we took advantage of it. Katie LOVES the park! :)
