quick trip to KS

Last week, I had the blessing of making a quick trip to KS.  Though the time was short, I was thankful to especially hug my sisters neck after attending the funeral of her sweet mother in law.  Eunice fought hard the terrible disease of cancer for the past two year. And God in His timing took her home this past Monday to be with Him.  Now she is fully healed and I am grateful with her family she is out of pain and with her Savior!

I also was able to sneak some good snuggles (thanks, E & P) and reading time with both my nephews and see my sisters ever growing belly with twins!  Jessa, it is crazy that you are carrying twins!  Thankful for my trip to see my whole family (though I missed saying hi to my sister in law, Julie--so Hi now!)
Love you all!

7

We really can't believe that you are 7 big girl.  Seriously, you are seven??!!  Where has the time gone.  We can honestly say that you are our favorite girl in the whole wide world!

You are creative, have a great smile, love to be hugged, will make friends with anyone that seems shy or uncomfortable or wants your friendship, you love me, daddy and Owen sooo sooo much, you keep asking for another sibling, you are quick to seek forgiveness, you struggle with being angry when you are tired, you love to wear dresses, you are excited and always ready to have a celebration for anyone, you love when we have people over for dinner, you are reading well and trying to teach Owen to read and are excited to do school at home for 1st grade....and so much more!

..a few things you are still and maybe forever working on are your room and focusing on details.  It just isn't in you to keep it straight or to focus on a task. You are our little creative in the clouds one..just not one for the details of the moment.  For your room there are always things out and laying on your bed or chair for you to use later. :)  And since you were little we have helped you make your bed, but to you your covers and pillows are always straight enough.

So here are your three birthday celebrations.  You are one blessed young lady to have three parties.  I am pretty sure one of these days we will have to be in KS in October so Owen can experience such fun!  Thank you everyone who made these happen and they are wonderful memories.

We started off our partying at Grandpa and Mimi's house.  We had mini cherry pies because Mimi makes the best Cherry pies according to Katie and Owen.  What a treat to have fresh cherries from their tree!  Yummo!
*And please forgive me for the poor photos at this celebration!  I need to work on my low lighting indoor photos.  :)  *
These Were Fresh Delicious & Soooooo Good!
Aunt Julie made a birthday hat.  We LOVE balloons!
...And on with more blessings, flip flops, games, and money for softball!
Then...Papa and Nana's house.
Everyone was over and we had the best cookout ever!  Plus we were treated to the famous Nana cupcakes!!  It's pie at Mimi's and cupcakes at Nana's-We get the best of both worlds!
Thanks to everyone for coming over for dinner and for the blessings-your hugs, time spent with us, dresses, workout clothes, flip flops, swimwear. Whew...what a fantastic time!

And finally some fun things at home to celebrate!
You received a few art materials, birthday dress and a Rapunzel dress
that Ms. Sandra made especially for you. It's just what you wanted!  :)

Happy Happy Happy Birthday sweet girl!  WE LOVE YOU!!
May Jesus be your all in all and may you grow in love with Him more each year.
We are praying for you at every turn.
HUGS!

Fishing. Bullseyes. 4Wheelers

I can't believe I have so much to post still about KS.  We had a great time and here is one more post about Grandpa and Mimi's house.
We went fishing.
We went to shoot targets.
The kids cleaned the 4Wheeler with Grandpa.
Great Day!
#needtodoitagainsoon

Owen said his low of the day was not catching anything.  "I didn't catch a fish or a stick or even pond moss". When you are four even a stick would have counted!

Owen you wanted a photo of each mark you hit!

What a neat moment.  This was Justin's 22 from when he was a kid.  :)  Love that the kids got to use it as well as me!

After all our fun around the 'homestead' our final chore of the day was to clean up the 4Wheeler.  Who doesn't love getting wet!
