Katie was two months old yesterday!

WOW! How time flies! Though there have been some long nights, fussy times and tears we CANNOT believe that our little girl is already two months old. We are so blessed to have such a precious baby. She had her two month old check up today and weights a whopping 13.3 pounds (8 pounds at birth) and is 22 3/4 inches (20 3/4 inches at birth) long! She is in the 95th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. Yes, she is a growing girl! Things she can do...smile like crazy, coo, follow you with her eyes, is ready to roll over anytime, during tummy time she can move around to every corner of her crib, loves her mommy and daddy and is starting to find a consistent three (sometimes 3 1.2) hour eat, play, sleep schedule. We sure do love her! The Lord has been faithful to provide much grace, patience, and wisdom to us as we raise our Katie Grace. :)

Introducing the Greats!

We are pleased to announce Katie posing with her Great Grandmas!!
She was so excited to be the fourth generation of wonderful families. :)

The first picture is Katie and Grandma Yeaquo. This is Justin's grandma and Katie's Grandpa Hime's mom. Thank you Grandma Yeaquo for holding and playing with Katie, she was very comfortable in your arms. :) (When we are back next, we want to get a picture of all four of you!) Also thank you for your continued support of us through all your letters! It is a fun thing to read about the happenings of the area.
This picture shows my Grandma Brewster, my mom, Katie and me. My mom's mom is quite a character. Even though she is not able to remember all the time who we all are because of Alzheimer's, she took really quickly to Katie. A few funny quotes that she said. *Katie was fussy a little loudly one day and Grandma responded, "Whoever is yelling, tell them to take it outside!!" My aunt responded, "Mom, it is a baby..." My grandma said, "Ohhhhh, I didn't know that!" *She also affectionately referred to Katie as, "My, what a cute boy!" It didn't matter if she was dressed in all pink; I guess her lack of hair said boy to my grandma. *One other thing that she said that was pretty cute. I was holding Katie and showing her to my grandma. My finger was in Katie's mouth to suck on and my grandma could only see one of her eyes. Grandma said, "Oh, what a pretty eye that baby has." As if Katie only has one eye. :) Thank you Grandma for talking and playing with Katie!

And for the last picture, but definitely no less of a wonderful great, Gramma Stein, my dad, Katie and me. Gramma Stein we are so thankful to have seen you! Thank you for traveling out from Ohio; what a trooper you are! We sure did have a fantastic time talking to you and just being with you. We hope to make it up to Ohio sometime in the near future to spend some more quality time with just you. It was special to be with you! Katie will have this picture and also more with just you in her baby book! :) We love the fact that you are so interested in our lives and we want to keep in touch as much now as ever before! I love your phone calls. Thank you for holding, loving and playing with Katie.

:) We love each one of you Grandmas so SO so much! :)

Family Circus continued...

Grandpa Hime,
It was great to see you while we were home. Thanks so much for serving us as much as you do when we're back in town, we appreciate it. So glad that you were able to meet our little girl, isn't she special! Thanks for the special gifts that you gave her at the airport, I know that she'll be in them very soon. We can't wait to see you in the fall. Love, us!
Uncle Dorian,
We'll you got her smiling, but it probably isn't because you were singing to her, that would probably have scared her to death :). She must be smiling because of your good looks and superior strength. Anyway, glad that we were able to see you even if only for a short time and glad that Katie has a picture with her uncle Do. Good luck with the rest of your tournament season.
Love, Us
Aunt Missy,
You did a great job this past weekend serving all of us girls for the wedding. All the hair updo's looked fantastic! Thanks for also making me look a little bit more stylish as a new mommy. :) I can't wait for you to teach me how to trim our little ones hair...if it is curly someday, I might have to pay you to come here and cut it! :) Please come out and visit us soon!!!!!!!!!! Katie would love it as well. You can tell by her smile that you did a great job keeping her happy. Or maybe the smile is her tooting...little Harley like big Harley. Love, all three of us
Nana and Papa,
We just had to get a picture with her papa in it! Thanks for letting us crash at your place for a couple of nights. And Papa you have to hold Katie when we get back for the Holidays...she won't break, just wiggle :)! Love, all of us

Hey Jen,
So glad that you were able to get some baby time with little Katie, I know that she enjoyed every bit of the time that she had with you. Congrats on all the new job stuff and your new place, we can't wait to see it. Maybe we can stay there for a night when we come in town next...it will be a slumber party for the centuries. Love, all of us!
Hey Pie,
What a beautiful bride! We had a great time and are so glad that we were able to make it out for the big day. You and Dustin are perfect for each other...have you purchased any M&M's yet? Hope that your honeymoon was a blessing and a blast. We love you and can't wait to see you again soon. Love, us!
ps-hope your pottery turned out ok (and Gi said you should start a blog too!)
Mimi,
Thanks so much for holding Katie as much as you did while we were back, I know that she enjoyed it as did we. Great job on pulling off another "at-home" wedding, the place looked amazing. We all look forward to seeing you real soon, know that you're always welcome here in NC.
Love, us all!
Nana,
Thanks for playing with Katie while we were home, sorry we didn't get as much time as we would of liked to, but what we did get was precious. I wanted to share this picture, as I thought that it was priceless. You probably can't tell, but Katie is smiling like crazy and she is the absolute center of attention :). She loved playing with the whole family for the first time and I know we all look forward to more of that in the near future. If your ever looking for a get away spot, Carolina is lovely all year around. Love, all of us!

I'm back...so are my mommy and daddy!

Well, we are back from our trip to KS! Boy, did I have a good time. My mommy said that she has a lot to blog about and will do it really soon!!!!!!!!!!!! Here are a few things that I know...I do know that I got to sleep a lot in peoples arms, I got kissed by TONS of my family and friends, I slept on the plane both ways, I danced with mommy and daddy at the reception in the sling (but I vaguely recall sleeping most of the party, even with the music booming all around me), I enjoyed the cooler then normal weather and I gained some weight-the food was so good! ...I think that I want to try this whole travel thing again. :)

They said yes!!

To Jessa and Dustin,
We pray you will have many, many years of joy as you to become one. You did a beautiful job on everything and we were so happy to have shared in this moment with you. You two look great together and we can't wait to hear all about your honeymoon...to Greece!

And...It is always a wonderful time at weddings to reflect on the goodness of the Lord. And this past wedding was just that for Justin and I. Wow and hasn't he been good?! To all you married peeps out there, take a moment to think about all the things the faithful, good Lord has brought you through. Marriage-what a beautiful picture of the love that God has for us!

Happy belated 4th of July!

We hope that everybody had a wonderful day yesterday celebrating our freedom! This outfit is from Granny Green and Grandma Kimball (thank you andI can't wait to meet you both!)...I was cute stuff while I had it on...but after Mommy put this one me I had a stinky diaper and it went straight up my back!!

Here is Katie swimming for the first time! She loved the pool, even though we only put her feet in. Ms. Jae, I love this swim suit, thank you for passing it down! (We had to keep her away from the McKenzie boys that swam with us. :)
"This is probably the only time you will be in a two piece, Katie!" love your overprotective daddy! :)

To my new cuddle buddies

Thank you for cuddling with me at Q-shack! I know that I slept really, really, really well, because I felt you Ms. Robin, continually adjusting and laying further and further back to keep me comfortable. I think that by the end you must have been almost laying down in the booth, because I was. Was your arm or back sore? Sorry I cried with Mr. Hunter held me. Thanks for loving me enough to make comfortable sacrifices for me and my mommy and daddy. We all love you three. I can't wait to meet my new friend in December!

This gives new meaning to "get the monkey off your back"...

This is Moses, he is a Shipoo. We are dog sitting right now and this monkey is his favorite toy that when shaken makes an awful noise...and Moses can shake it like crazy! He really is a very cute dog! Thanks Moses for playing with us! :)

Thank you Dr. Groff!

Everybody this is the wonderful Dr. that delivered me! My mommy and daddy prayed that she would be the Dr. on call and she was-yippee for me! My mommy was taken care of so well and maybe in the future some of my siblings can be delivered by Dr. Groff. If anybody is looking for an OBGYN, you should try her (everybody in the practice is so nice)...that is what my mommy says. :) Thank you Dr. Groff!
