God made you both different, special, lovely, sweet, full of life...

K & O, we love you both! Someday this photo you'll see and it will bring big smiles to your faces. It shows your personalities pretty much straight up!

Owen, you love order, you love to have a task and finish it, you love to know exactly where your things are located-in their spots.  You love to work and your meter for being intuitive to read peoples feelings is high. It brings you joy if you can be our helper and can help with others burdens and setting tasks aright.

Katie, you love color and choices and comfort and it doesn't bother you if your things aren't exactly put away. You are concerned with people and celebrating and making chicken salad for lunch-which has to have grapes in it.  It brings you joy to plan a party so that people feel special. You love being found in community and you don't have time to think about tasks.  :)

Finally, we pray the Lord uses each of you mightily and that you can be the best of siblings to encourage each others strengths and learn from your weaknesses.  Thankful you both love each other well.

Katie has taken to planning meals and then helping me make them (baked chicken tonight) and this was our conversation...

Katie-Mom, the chicken's name was Gilbert

Me-Katie, the chicken's don't come with names, we don't name our food.

Katie-Yes, it does...its name is Gilbert.

Me-Katie, we don't name our food, ok?!

Katie-Look right here, mom, it says on the package, Gilbert, and he is missing some of his parts. 

:D. Oh, Katie, its giblet! and even though I'm laughing on the insides, I'm smiling and saying on the outside...oh I understand now, I see what you mean..  :D

I love this story sweet girl...I will forever remember it, love your help in the kitchen (most days :) as you fly around from spot to spot, trying to do it all. You are really growing up!!

Homeschooling Today

School is outside while they give the truck a tune-up. :) Thankful at this moment to be mobile with our studies.

It's Going Well

Owen and Daddy were discussing what his Bible lessons were at school and he said they were studying Genesis. 

Owen- "You know, daddy, we are studying creation, you know God created the heavens and the earth".

Daddy- "Are you memorizing Genesis 1:1?"

Owen- "yes".

Daddy-"How does it go?" Expecting him to say the memorized verse.

Owen- "It's going well".

Ha, that boy is so literal.
