Another thing that we ask of the kids, is to say, "yes, mom" or "yes, dad" whenever we ask them to do things. Its one way we try to insure the kids hear us and understand what we are telling them. The other day I was doing laundry and Katie said something to me. I didn't quite hear her and simple continued folding clothes thinking she would come to me and ask again. Instead she asked it again and when I did not respond she said, "Mom, say yes sweetie so I know you heard me!".
I about fell over giggling inside. :) Ahhh, what goes around comes around!
