It is officially Katie can put a straw through her teeth-in a BIG GAPING HOLE. At 5 1/2 years old she is currently missing four baby teeth and one more is loose. (She did get those top teeth at 4 months :) She lost the first two within minutes of each other, in the beginning of December and the top two within a few days of each other around Christmas. One top one was knocked out when she hula hooped and then kneed her mouth. I think that was the only one that had some blood with it. Another one came out when she was using a (the first one) straw and the other two she and Daddy pulled just a wee bit and out they came.
Tooth Fairy notes...
She put her teeth under her pillow for the tooth fairy who brought her two Ipad games, one dollar and finally a special drink when we were out and about.
A horrible parenting story-yes, Justin and I forgot one night to be the tooth fairy. Gasp. Katie came out of her room the next morning and told Justin that the tooth fairy must have forgotten so she was going to go back to bed. She said she would see if the TF just was late. We felt terrible! Anyway we made up something that the TF was just super busy that night and we were sure they would come the following night. The next night we again almost forgot! At 6:02 am the next morning, I rushed in as quietly as I could and put a dollar under her pillow. Whew! :)

We've forgotten more than once with each kid!! They ended up wanting to just keep their teeth instead of getting money for them. So I had to call the TF and just tell him we didn't need his services...
That really puts into perspective how old our kids are getting! I thought it was crazy the first time you wrote about her teeth being loose!
