Almost Gone...

-Potty training almost gone-

Pull ups at our house, during nighttime, have been a necessity for our sanity this past year. Thinking about changing sheets in the middle of the night and with a new baby on the way-read I needed sleep-was a bit overwhelmed. So we stuck with pull ups at nighttime, for the past year or more.

A refresher-Katie decided that she wanted to be potty trained a bit before her second birthday...I think about 20 months or so. She wanted to be just like her friends who had big girl panties. So we dove in with an ebook about how to train in three days. (we like almost everything about it-I would recommend it!)

The parts that were most difficult were during nap time and nighttime. And only nap time, for us, worked with undies. Since then Katie has worn pull ups at nighttime. But last week, in the middle of the night, we heard, "Tinkle, I have to go tinkle!".

What, I woke up thinking is that yelling? Is that Katie?

Yes, it was Katie and I jumped out of bed to help her to the bathroom. Yeah!!!!!!!! Katie at last was recognizing her need to go the bathroom in the middle of the night. :)

So we have told Katie that if she can go 10 days without an accident in the nighttime she can get new pjs. She is super excited and we are glad too. Those pull ups are expensive, but they were worth it as well.

So good job, Katie girl, you can make it! Only a few more days and then the pull ups will be gone for good!
