Kansas

SO....we've been in Kansas, ...it's been a great treat to see so much family this week.

A few thoughts.

The weather here has been exceptional! Love the 70 degree days and 50 degree nights. :) But I should have packed a few more warm things. Thanks to Mimi and Grandpa Stein for the run to Walmart for socks (and a few more things, bananas, an umbrella, a purse...!)

We thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed celebrating with Tommy and Julie for their wedding reception. It was gorgously decorated, they had fantastic yummy food-red velvet cake plus other layers, spinach artichoke mini sandwiches, grilled veggies, blue cheese and palm heart salad and much more-wow, super creative (a photo booth for their guest book), a wonderful night weather wise, and much dancing at the ball by 'Katierella'...! The only bummer was that Justin had to stay and teach his workshops and then travel to LA for some grant training. I know he wanted to come-Sorry Tommy and Julie that he didn't make it, next time we see you all lets grab dinner together!

Nana and Katie have gone to the American Girl Doll store at the mall. I think Katie will LOVE it. Papa has also made a great impression once again, playing store and dress up with Katie. He also kept Owen entertained in the morning-thank you!

Aunt Pie and Uncle Dustin, thank you for driving 5 hours and staying late to see us, it was the best! We all especially love our new sippy cups.

Grandpa and the kiddos have cut down a tree, picked up sticks, ridden the 4-wheeler, read the newspaper funnies (or silly's as Katie calls them), picked apples, thrown rocks into the pond....

We get to see Uncle Drew play High School football tonight. Go Lions!

Grandpa Hime has graciously driven over to see and play with us numerous times. :)

Aunt Brandi has come to see us at all our locations...that is dedication! Love it.

Bummer! Owen has a sick bug. Praying that his fever breaks before we fly again. Poor little guy. At least Katie doesn't seem to be affected at all right now. Hoping that stays true the whole time.

And I am sure there is MUCH MUCH more, but that is all for now. (and ps if I forgot somebody-sorry, we still love you!)
